Pet portrait commissions
Thank you so much for your interest in my pet portraits! In my portraits I try to capture the personality of the pet, so they really come to life on paper. I paint my pet portraits on off-white watercolor paper and I only use proffesional quality art supplies. I’ve been doing pet portrait commissions for three years now, and I have painted hundreds of adorable pets since then. And of course, all sorts of pets are welcome! Below you find all the information you will need to order a pet portrait, but feel free to contact me if you have any questions left!
Styles
Realistic style: detailed painting of your pet made with watercolor and white gouache.
I offer two styles:
Illustration style: painting of your pet with a bit more cartoonish look, less detailed. Made with watercolor, colored pencils, and white gouache.
Reference photo
Don’t worry if you don’t have a photo with great quality. I like the challenge of making a detailed painting out of a blurry photo. I can also combine different photo’s (e.g. I can paint 2 or more pets together from different pictures, use one photo for the colors and one for the composition, etc.) But of course if you have a great quality photo, that would be perfect. A good photo is usually taken in daylight, at the eye level of your pet. Feel free to contact me if I need to help you with choosing a photo!

Shipping
All the prices above exclude shipping costs. I ship worldwide. Shipping costs depend on which country you are based.
Shipping in The Netherlands: €4,50 (or €7,- for size 41 x 31 cm)
Shipping to other EU countries: €10,-
Shipping outside EU: €14,- (or €20,50 for size 41 x 31 cm)

I also offer the possiblity to frame your pet portrait with a proffesional look.
So your portrait is all set and you don’t have to worry about searching for a frame. It is perfect to make sure your artwork stays well protected for your whole life!

How to order
Fill out the contact form below. Include all the whishes you have and let me know if you need the portrait for a specific date.
I’ll respond to you by email (within 24 hours) and I will let you know the total price and the estimated timeframe for creating your portrait. I usually don’t have a waitlist, but if there is one I will let you know. If you need a portrait done urgently, I will make some time and I will try to finish it in 4 days to 1 week.
Upon your approval you can pay a deposit of 50% of the total price, via bank transfer, Tikkie (for Dutch customers), or Paypal.
If you ordered a portrait with two or more pets or any additions, I will first make a composition sketch in Photoshop.
I’ll paint your portrait and I will keep you up to date by sending pictures of the painting process in between.
When finished, you can let me know if you want anything to be adjusted. I want you to be fully happy with the end result!
If you are completely happy with it you can pay me the remaining amount and I will ship the portrait to you!
